Tech giant and top Chinese company Huawei introduced several new smartwatches at its event in China earlier today and we got the details on all four of the new wearables.

 Highlights of what came about Huawei Watch Buds

 Huawei Watch Buds is a 2-in-1 device that works like your regular smartwatch but with a screen that opens to reveal a pair of TWS earbuds. The watch offers a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The case is made of stainless steel while the leather watch strap measures 22mm and is available in black and brown colours.

 Rounding out the smartwatch part

 — it supports heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep and stress management as well as atrial fibrillation heart rate and ECG readings. You also get 80 workout modes. The earphones provide AI noise cancellation for calls and listening to music. The Watch Buds weigh 66.5g without the strap while the earbuds weigh 4g each. The buds are IP54 rated while the watch does not get official ingress protection due to the opening mechanism. BeiDou positioning, GLONASS and GPS are also available on board.

 Watch Buds run HarmonyOS 3 and pair over a Bluetooth 5.2 connection. Huawei claims that the watch and its buds have a combined battery life of up to 3 days. The wireless earbuds get 4 hours of music playback or 2.5 hours of talk time with the noise cancellation off. A full charge via the special magnetic charger should take 100 minutes.

 The Huawei Watch Buds are priced at CNY 2,988 ($429) and are already on sale in China. No word on global availability at this time.

The highlights of what came about the Huawei Kids Watch 5X

 Huawei Kids Watch 5X and 5X Pro are Huawei's latest kids' Smartwatch and offer 1.6-inch AMOLED displays with a resolution of 360 x 320 pixels and dual cameras in a hard plastic case. There is a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear module and both watches can be rotated 360 degrees and even removed from the watch band completely. The Pro model has the added advantage of having a secondary monochrome screen on the back which can be used to save energy and is also less distracting than the main screen.

 There is cellular connectivity with a physical nano-SIM slot as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. Both watches have 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Kids Watch 5X measures 56.3mm x 43.58mm x 14.45mm while the Pro model is 14.9mm thick and weighs 78.7 grams. Both Kids Watch 5X models are IPX8 rated.

 Huawei Watch GT 3 ProCollector Edition is the fourth smartwatch announced today. As the name suggests, it is a limited edition standard Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro with a black nano-crystal ceramic case with gold-tone elements. The watch is available in a size of 43 mm and brings the exclusive New Year to Rabbit watch faces.
